Get together and Fruit Festival of Dept. of SWE

The Department of Software Engineering at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), in association with the Green Software Engineering Club, successfully hosted a vibrant get-together for faculty members and students across batches 250, 251, and 242. This lively event was organized with the aim of fostering stronger bonds within the department and offering a much-needed refreshing break from academic routine.

The event commenced with a delightful Fruit Festival, where a wide array of traditional and seasonal fruits were served. Students and faculty alike enjoyed the fresh flavors of jackfruit, mango, pineapple, Burmese grape, and dragon fruit, celebrating the richness of Bangladeshi culture and nature’s bounty.

Following the fruit fest, attendees were treated to an exciting cultural program organized and performed by the talented students of the department. The program featured musical performances, poetry recitations, traditional dance, and other creative expressions, showcasing the diverse talents and artistic enthusiasm of SWE students.

Adding a fun twist to the celebration, a pillow passing game was held, bringing laughter and joy to everyone present. The game concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where:

• Hemal from Batch 251 was crowned Champion,

• Dipankar from Batch 242 secured the Runner-Up position,

• And Rawa from Batch 251 received the Best Female Performer award for her energy and sportsmanship.

Moreover, the event was graced by the presence of Honorable Chairperson Sir of Department of Software Engineering, faculty members from the Department of Software Engineering, the Department Coordination Officer, and other esteemed faculty members who conduct classes in the department. Their participation made the occasion even more special and reflective of the close-knit academic community at GUB.

The Department of Software Engineering remains deeply committed to creating an engaging, lively, and supportive academic environment.
